The Mission:
Participants are challenged to create a fully functional Tank Shooting Game following the specifications provided by the organizers. The twist?

• Code must be generated with the AI tool of their choice.
• The final product must run purely on HTML/CSS/JavaScript for a seamless judging process.
• Creative UI enhancements are welcome, but manual edits to AI-generated code must stay within a 30% difference threshold.
• Along with the game, participants must share their AI prompt and conversation history—because transparency in AI-assisted work matters.

This challenge is more than just coding; it’s about harnessing AI, blending creativity with technical skills, and proving that human + machine collaboration can lead to exciting, production-ready solutions.

On August 1st, VietIS Solution Tokyo enjoyed a wonderful getaway at one of Japan’s most beautiful beaches – Isshiki Beach – combined with discovering the cultural charm of Enoshima Island.

Each member’s memory was refreshed with new “data”: moments filled with laughter by the beach, a BBQ party flavored with endless conversations, and of course, countless souvenir photos captured amidst stunning natural scenery

Visiting Okutsumiya Shrine – where we took a moment of peace to pray for smooth sailing at work, for good health, and for a life full of luck and happiness

The first impression? Countless procedures to complete before settling in: registering my residence,
getting a residence card, opening a bank account, and buying a SIM card. Everything in Japan
follows strict procedures, and although I was initially overwhelmed, I gradually adapted thanks to the
support of my colleagues and helpful tips from senior VietISers.

Living in Japan came with a bit of culture shock. Trains run precisely on time, everyone queues in
order, and silence is expected in public spaces. I had to learn how to sort trash properly, keep my
living space tidy, and most importantly, adjust to the solitude that comes with mostly remote work.
What I value most is the professional, transparent, and humane working environment. I receive
regular bonuses, housing support, flight tickets home, and – above all – countless opportunities to
grow both professionally and personally through direct client interactions and the warm support of
my team. Every workday here isn’t just a task – it’s a chance to learn, grow, and become more
independent.“

I. Finding a Place to Live in Japan
Searching for housing in Japan can be challenging due to several factors:

+ Rental Restrictions for Foreigners
Many landlords don’t rent to foreigners without a local guarantor. You often need to be in
Japan to sign the lease, and the screening process (shinsa) may take 1–2 weeks.

+ High Initial Costs
Move-in costs are typically 3–4 times the monthly rent. These include a deposit, reikin (a
non-refundable “thank you” payment to the landlord), agency fees, and management fees.
+ Housing Options:
1) Apartment / Mansion
Private unit with its own kitchen, bathroom, and toilet.
Basic furnishings are not included. Utilities (gas, water, internet) must be registered
individually.
High upfront cost (approx. 4 months’ rent). Long-term contracts (usually 2 years).
2) Sharehouse
Private bedroom in a shared house with communal kitchen and bathroom.
Fully furnished and ready to move in – just bring your luggage.
Lower initial cost (around 1.5–2 months’ rent). Shorter contract periods.
+ Housing Tips for Newcomers in Japan
Here are some helpful tips to make your housing search in Japan smoother:
+ Planning to Rent an Apartment/Mansion?
It’s best to stay with a friend in Japan for the first few weeks while searching. Also, be financially
prepared — initial move-in fees can cost up to 4 months’ worth of rent.
+ Starting with a Sharehouse
If you don’t have a place to stay upon arrival, a sharehouse is a great temporary solution.
Contracts usually range from 3 months to 1 year. Some sharehouses allow remote applications
from Vietnam and are ready to move into upon arrival.
+ Language Support
If your Japanese is limited, consider using Vietnamese real estate agencies in Japan. They often
provide support in Vietnamese and may also help negotiate lower move-in costs.
+ Choose a Convenient Location
Try to find accommodation close to a train station to make commuting easier. If the place is far
from the station, you may need to buy a bicycle to travel to the nearest one.
+ Documents for Reimbursement
When signing a lease and paying rent, make sure to request official receipts and
documentation from the real estate agency.
VietIS currently supports part of the monthly rent and move-in costs up to ¥150,000 (as per
company policy).

II. Settling into Life in Japan

2.1 Transportation
+ The main public transportation in Japan is the train, along with buses and taxis. It’s essential to use apps
like Google Maps or Navitime to check routes, train times, and fares.
+ During rush hours (7:00–9:00 AM and 5:00–7:00 PM), be prepared for extremely crowded trains — a
true cultural experience!
There are two main payment methods for train travel:

1. Regular Tickets: Purchased at ticket machines by entering the destination station. (Less
   commonly used)
2. IC Cards (Suica/Pasmo): Easily created at ticket machines and can be topped up with credit for
   convenient tap-and-go travel.
   

2.2 Shopping
+ The Vietnamese community in Japan is large, especially around Tokyo and nearby areas, so
Vietnamese grocery stores are widely available and offer familiar produce like plums, jackfruit,
lychee, etc.
+ Daily shopping is very convenient with convenience stores (konbini), supermarkets, and
drugstores found almost everywhere.
+ Household goods can be purchased from 100-yen shops, IKEA, Nitori, or Don Quijote. For
budget-friendly options, second-hand stores are also a great choice.
+ Online shopping is very common via platforms like Amazon, Rakuten, Qoo10, and Yahoo
Shopping.
+ Payment methods:
o Most common: Cash
o Also accepted: QR code payments via apps like PayPay, IC cards (Suica/Pasmo), and
credit cards (e.g. Visa).
o Note: Bank transfers (like in Vietnam) are rarely used for shopping.

2.3 Etiquette Tips
+ Queuing: Always queue in an orderly line when waiting for trains, buses, elevators, food, etc. On
escalators, stand on one side.
+ Silence in Public: Keep quiet on public transport — avoid talking loudly or taking calls. At
home, avoid loud music or noise, as neighbors may report disturbances to the police.
+ No Eating on Public Transport: Except on Shinkansen or long-distance trains with designated
eating areas.
+ Garbage Disposal:
o Public trash bins are rare (mainly found in convenience stores), so be prepared to take
your trash home.
o Garbage must be sorted according to category, disposed of in designated trash bags, and
thrown out on specific collection days.
o For large items like furniture or electronics, you must pay an additional disposal fee.
So, shop wisely — excessive purchases may result in high disposal costs later!

Relocating to Japan is never easy. But with careful preparation, strong company support, and a
willingness to learn, I’ve gradually adapted to this new life and am proud to carry the VietIS spirit with

Recently, VietIS was honored to welcome back Mr. Ninh Viet Tu – Chairman of VNK Corporation, a seasoned meditation teacher, ethics and life philosophy instructor, and a respected expert in personal and business development.

Returning to VietIS, Mr. Tu led a deeply inspiring seminar titled: “Working Effectively in Peace – Balance for Sustainable Breakthroughs.”
Over the course of two hours, VietIS leaders, department heads, engineers, HR members – and even the
VietIS Japan team – gathered together to listen, reflect, and engage with Mr. Tu’s insights on how to stay
productive without sacrificing inner peace.

His message brought practical wisdom and personal depth to issues we all face in our professional
journey. Here are some memorable takeaways from the session:

This time, the chosen destination is Thu Ngac Primary School, nestled deep within the Co Son area – a remote mountainous region with a sparse population and limited living conditions. This small school is home to 66 young Muong ethnic students, who are in need of a better, more complete learning environment to grow and shine.

To get to class, these children walk winding and dangerous mountain trails each day. “Sun Hill” is not just about delivering practical gifts such as bookshelves and school supplies – it’s also about bringing laughter, joy, and the sparkle of hope in the eyes of children in this midland region through the vibrant festival organized by iGo Club.

We hope this is not just a stopping point, but the beginning of many more kind-hearted journeys together in the future.

The entire VietIS Solution family took a well-deserved break to relax beneath the breathtaking
canopy of pink and white cherry blossoms near the bustling Shibuya station. After enjoying a cozy
Vietnamese lunch filled with mouthwatering dishes at Hoang Ngan Shibuya restaurant, we headed to
Yoyogi Park to fully embrace the hanami spirit.

Delicate petals danced in the spring breeze, gently falling on our shoulders and hair, bringing a sense
of peace and serenity. Even the little ones, brought along by their parents, were overjoyed to play and
explore amidst nature’s beauty.

Beyond the beautiful scenery, cheerful atmosphere, and delicious food, the picnic was a wonderful
opportunity to connect, share stories, and capture unforgettable moments through countless joyful
snapshots.

The Journey to Conquer 9 Technology/Management Certifications in 9 Months

This is the true story of Mr. Đ.Đ.N – Delivery Manager BU1 at VietIS Solution. Let’s follow his story!

Introducing the Person

With over 12 years of experience in the outsourcing field, having lived and worked in many places in Vietnam (Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City) and Japan (Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa & Fukuoka), Mr. N. remains remarkably modest when talking about himself, describing himself as follows:

• Addicted to e-Football games, loves fun
• Addicted to Facebook, Netflix, and YouTube Shorts
• After 10 years in Japan, did not take any international certifications other than JLPT N2, N1 (N1 took 4 attempts to pass)
• Lacks self-study habits, rarely sets personal goals, and if set, does not stick to them and quickly abandons them
• Used to think he was lazy, had poor English, lacked motivation & confidence to participate in any international certification exams

What Triggered Mr. N. to Change?

• The wave of layoffs everywhere made him realize he could be a victim if he did not change
• Coincidentally interviewed a candidate born in 1999 who had 6 international certifications in just over a year
• Did not want to be looked down upon

Mr. N. disciplined himself, continuously focused on two pillars: health habits and self-study habits. As a result, after 2 months, he lost 6 kg, improved his health indicators, and successfully obtained 9 certifications in 9 months. Among them, the certification Mr. N. found most challenging was the PMP management certification.

Sharing Tips for Passing Certifications in a Short Time

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

Some tips for exam preparation shared by Mr. N. include:

• Identify your motivation
• Improve English: Don’t worry, English is mostly repetitive, so creating a vocabulary file for regular study is effective
• Utilize AI chatbots (Chat GPT / Copilot / Germini) for learning, answering and explaining answers, and compiling statistics in PDF/image files
• Study in groups / discussions: Knowledge is best remembered when discussed or explained to others
• Self-study on Udemy: Buy individual courses or Udemy Business. Look for highly rated courses with many students
• Apply the Pomodoro Technique for time management
• Prioritize tasks, do one thing at a time
• Practice with mock exams

“To achieve things you’ve never had, you must be willing to do things you’ve never done.”

A Few Words of Advice from the Person:

Is it difficult to achieve?

• What I have achieved, you can also achieve, as long as you are willing to pay a reasonable price.
• Certification and cultivating positive habits are not about competing with others but about overcoming yourself.

Passing an exam does not mean being a professional in that field

• Passing an exam only proves that at the time of the exam, I knew how to answer the questions, but it does not mean I am skilled in that field.
• Rapid learning often leads to gaps in practical knowledge.
• I totally agree with those who say “practical experience in projects / whether you can do it is more important than what certifications you have”

“When you think you’ve given your all, in reality, you’ve only used 40% of your potential (David Goggins)…”

We had the presence of 5 teams from 5 departments, each with their own colors and an incredible spirit. Over 60 participants, along with cheerleaders including friends, family, and especially adorable children, joined in.

We witnessed a transformation from shyness and hesitation to bold enthusiasm from our company members. Normally reserved, everyone became outgoing and lively once they joined in the games and team activities.

There were countless different emotions, such as beaming smiles, excitement, shouts, struggles, surprises, and sheer joy. Check out the photo link below for more details.

I especially enjoyed the handshakes, arm slings, high-fives, and hugs that everyone shared that day—something we don’t often show.

The strategists and players were incredibly passionate and outstanding. It’s hard to fully describe the events of that morning in words, but one thing that was clear was the team spirit, unity, effort, and brilliance of all the teams.

Congratulations to:

• Team “Xin nhẹ giải Nhất” for bringing 5,000,000 VND to the General・Communications HR・IDT department.
• The runner up: Team “Đương kim vô địch” from Production Department 2, and Team “1 JACK” from Production Department 6, each receiving 2,250,000 VND.
